Sometimes specific items may be backordered or out of stock. Should this occur we will contact you promptly for your instructions to either delete the item or wait until it becomes available.
GENERAL TERMS
Before ordering or placing an order on layby it is the buyer's responsibility to read our terms and conditions as described on this page. All items remain the property of Collector Cottage until payment is received in full. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice.
PRICING POLICY
Our prices are, on average, below the recommended retail price but some items with sustantially higher values are priced accordingly.

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and currency converters are conveniently linked on each page.
PRE-ORDERS
Lay buy is NOT available on preordered items once they are in stock. They must be paid for within 4 days of being received in stock and/or a notice is supplied of outstanding amount.
If our suppliers cancel or defer delivery of an item that has been pre-oredered you will be advised via email. If the item is cancelled we will automatically refund your deposit. If the item is deferred you can either receive a refund of deposit or continue with the purchase. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Money Orders, and Bank Cheques for immediate shipping. Personal cheques are accepted with shipping delayed for bank clearance. All care is taken when packing our items. Shipping within Australia is usually placed at 3-5 days with registered post a preferred option at an additional cost of $2.70 Shipping Internationally depends on the shipping method but is usually 10-12 days for airmail.
If you cancel a preorder before delivery no refund will be given.
SHIPPING
Shipping is NOT included for International buyers and will be calculated in each instance due to varying weights. Lay-by is available on purchases totallying $100 more excluding shipping.
Lay-by terms are 3 months and require a 30% deposit and regular payments, preferrably fortnightly.
Payments may be made either by direct debit from your credit card in equal instalments by your authority, by money order, or via cheque. If you cancel the lay-by all payments are forfeited. If you cease making payments during the lay-by and have not contacted us we will assume you have cancelled the lay-by.

LAY-BY TERMS
Layby is not available on sale items. Your privacy is important and we will only use the information you provide for processing your orders and alerting you to new items in stock. We will never supply your personal information to any agency or person for marketing purposes or otherwise. If you need to return your item you may do so if it is damaged only. You must email us for an authorisation number and shipping instructions within 3 days of receiving your order. Unauthorised returns, COD's or failure to comply with shipping instructions will not be accepted. Accordingly, we reserve the right to refuse returns for any reason. Should we accept your return you will be credited with 95% of the purchase price - shipping costs are not refundable. The item is the buyers responsibility and chattel until such time as it is received by us so registered post is the recommended option.
AVAILABILITY
We may not have all items in stock at all times but endeavour to keep the catalogue up to date. If there is a problem with availability we will contact your via email as soon as possible.
PRIVACY
RETURNS
Pre-ordered items require the deposits listed next to the item. Deposits are non refundable and are non transferrable from item to another.
Deposits must be received within 14 days of placing the order or it will not be secured. Once the items are in stock we will notify you via email that payment is required. If no repsonse is received after 7 days we will try to contact you via telephone or registered post thereby extending the holding period a further 7 days to a total of 14. If you do not finalise the purchase after the 14th day the order will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.
Prices shown for pre-ordered items are a guide only and may change at any time. If the prices are increased you may either cancel the order with a full refund of your deposit. If the price decreases we will credit your final price accordingly.
